Effective Date: August 4, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Avandé, Inc. (“Avandé,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and protects information in connection with our website at avande.net and our decision-support portal application located at portal.avande.net (collectively, the “Services”). By using the Services, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. This Privacy Policy should be read together with our Terms of Use.
Avandé, Inc. is a healthcare decision-support company providing evidence-based medical intelligence and analytics to healthcare stakeholders. Our registered address is 1000 North West Street, Suite 1200, Wilmington, DE 19801, USA. Our Services are directed to users in the United States.
We collect information you provide directly to us, including your name, email address, mobile phone number, professional credentials, and case-related information necessary to deliver our Services. We also collect limited technical information such as log data, device information, and usage information when you access the portal. We collect your mobile phone number and email address when they are provided to us during account setup or by your organization so that we can send you the notifications described below.
When you visit our public website at avande.net, we may automatically collect standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device information, pages viewed, and referring pages. We and our analytics providers use cookies and similar technologies to operate the website, remember your preferences, and understand how visitors use the site. We use website analytics tools, such as Google Analytics, to help us measure and improve site performance.
You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings, and you may opt out of certain analytics tracking using tools provided by the relevant analytics providers, such as the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Where required, we honor opt-out preference signals, including the Global Privacy Control (GPC), transmitted by your browser. Disabling cookies may affect how parts of the website function.
If you submit an inquiry through a contact form or subscribe to our newsletter on the website, we collect the information you provide, such as your name and email address, to respond to you or to send you the communications you requested. You may unsubscribe from newsletter emails at any time using the link included in those messages.
Avandé operates an SMS notification program for authorized users, primarily physicians and reviewers, to support secure access to and case-related work within the portal application at portal.avande.net. When you provide your mobile phone number and use the Services, you consent to receive SMS text messages from Avandé, including: (a) one-time passcodes (OTP) used to verify your identity when you log in to the portal; and (b) recurring notifications related to cases and tasks assigned to you, such as new case assignments, status updates, and reminders. One-time passcode messages are transactional and are sent only when you attempt to sign in or take an action that requires verification.
Message frequency varies based on your activity and case load. Message and data rates may apply to all messages, including one-time passcodes (OTP), depending on your mobile carrier and plan. You may opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message; after you reply STOP, we will send a single confirmation message and will not send you further SMS messages unless you opt back in. Reply HELP for assistance, or contact us using the details in Section 15. Because these notifications support time-sensitive case work, opting out may affect your ability to receive timely case updates.
We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile phone number or SMS opt-in information with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing purposes. Consent to receive SMS messages is not a condition of any purchase.
We send email notifications to authorized users regarding secure account access, cases, tasks, account activity, and other operational matters related to the portal application at portal.avande.net. These include one-time passcodes (OTP) and verification messages used to confirm your identity when you log in to the portal, as well as case- and task-related notifications. You receive these emails because you or your organization provided your email address in connection with your use of the Services. You may unsubscribe from non-essential email notifications using the link provided in those emails or by contacting us; certain transactional or account-related emails are necessary to provide the Services and may continue while your account is active. We monitor and process email bounces and complaints to maintain the quality and deliverability of our messages.
We use the information we collect to provide, operate, and maintain the Services; to send case and account notifications via SMS and email; to authenticate users and secure the portal; to operate and improve our website; to respond to inquiries; and to comply with legal and regulatory obligations.
We use Amazon Web Services, including Amazon Simple Email Service (Amazon SES), to deliver email notifications, and we use third-party messaging providers to deliver SMS notifications. Information necessary to deliver these messages is processed by these providers in accordance with their applicable terms and privacy commitments. These providers are authorized to use the information only to deliver our messages and not for their own purposes.
We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information within our portal application. Our security program is monitored on an ongoing basis and our systems are subject to independent penetration testing and continuous compliance monitoring. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We share information only with service providers who support our operations, when required by law or legal process, or as necessary to protect the rights, safety, and security of Avandé, our users, and others. We do not sell personal information.
We retain information for as long as necessary to provide the Services and to comply with our legal, regulatory, and contractual obligations, after which it is deleted or de-identified.
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us using the details below, subject to applicable law and our contractual obligations. You may opt out of SMS messages as described in Section 4, unsubscribe from non-essential email notifications as described in Section 5, and manage cookies and analytics as described in Section 3.
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (together, the “CCPA”), provides you with additional rights regarding your personal information. This section applies to information subject to the CCPA and does not apply to information exempt from it, such as certain protected health information governed by other laws.
In the preceding 12 months, we may have collected the following categories of personal information: identifiers (such as name, email address, and phone number); professional or employment-related information (such as credentials); internet or network activity information (such as usage and log data); and geolocation data limited to general location derived from IP address. We collect this information for the business purposes described in this Privacy Policy and disclose it only to service providers that support our operations.
Subject to certain exceptions, California residents have the right to: know and access the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected; request deletion of their personal information; request correction of inaccurate personal information; and opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. Avandé does not sell your personal information and does not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.
To submit a request, contact us using the details in Section 15. We will verify your request before responding and will respond within the timeframes required by law. You may also designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes become effective when we post the revised policy, and the “Effective Date” above will be updated accordingly.
This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of laws principles.
